The Thomas L. Quay Wildlife and Natural Resources Undergraduate Experiential Learning Award is available annually to highly motivated and qualified students majoring in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology, Biological Sciences-Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology, Zoology, Natural Resources – Ecosystem Assessment, Environmental Sciences, or Environmental Technology. The award honors Professor Emeritus Quay, a leader in conservation in North Carolina. The award must be used to support a conservation-based field experience.
Awards are typically in the amount of $1000. Recipients of both awards are expected to submit a summary report of the field experience and send thank you notes to donors upon completion of the experience.
