Next Generation Scientists for Biodiesel

From Jennifer Greenstein, Co-chair of Next Generation Scientists for Biodiesel:

I am writing to reach out to you about Next Generation Scientists for Biodiesel, a student professional organization dedicated to helping students in all aspects of biodiesel research and outreach collaborate and exchange ideas. Current members of NGSB include a number of students and professors in the US and abroad performing biodiesel research and/or education. The work being performed by NGSB members covers nearly every aspect of biodiesel including feedstock design, biodiesel production, engine optimization, emissions characterization, K-12 outreach, and more. Members of NGSB receive scholarship and grant announcements, invitations to informative webinars, and updates on the policy and regulations surrounding biodiesel. Membership is free and signing up is quick and easy. Even if you are not directly involved with biodiesel, we welcome any student or faculty member who is interested in or supports the use and development of biodiesel.

In addition, we have recently opened our travel scholarship application to attend the National Biodiesel Conference in San Diego, CA January 21-24. This is a great opportunity for students to see the industry behind biodiesel from feedstock development to biodiesel production and distribution. I cannot stress enough the networking, collaboration, and professional development opportunities available through attending the conference. More information on the travel scholarship can be found here.

I hope that you take the time to sign up for NGSB, and please forward this email along to any undergraduate or graduate students that you believe would benefit from joining NGSB.
